Claudia Côté works in the three dimensional as well as in bas-reliefs using plywood where sculpture, etching and pyrography are joined. Far from rooting itself in the past, the art of Coté presents current shapes where abstractions and the figurative meet and become intertwined to propose a reinterpretation of landscape and history. Her work is driven by memory, roots, storytelling, geography and topography.
