I graduated with honors from Toronto’s Central Technical School Special Fine Art Program in 1981 where I majored in sculpture, and won The K.A.Griffith Award and The Peter Haworth Award for Meritorious Achievement. Also spent 2 more years at night school studying bronze casting at the school foundry. I’m a member of The Sculptors Society of Canada. After graduation I sought employment in the foundry business to gain the critical knowledge and experience of bronze casting by working at 2 different bronze art foundries that spanned about 20 years and had the opportunity to work on and work with many re known Canadian artist's and their sculpture. I’ve worked in all aspects of ferrous and non-ferrous metals including welding, fabrication, fountain design and patina on small to monumental scale works. I’m a master patineur with more than 30 years of experience designing patina formulations for artists, foundries and specifically for my own works, which are a significant, integral element of each sculpture. I’ve created public and commission based cast bronze sculpture for the private and public sector, for more than 25 years, and have won many public art competitions in Ontario, Canada. My travels abroad have earned me an international reputation as a bronze artist, participating in many international exhibitions, and symposiums, and have numerous private and public works in Asia, United Kingdom, USA and Canada.
