Being creative has always been an important part of my life. After high school I tried a variety of careers in the business world. Only years later did it dawn on me that I needed a vocation with creativity. It was time to change my career path. In 1995, I graduated from an interior decorating program, then instead of decorating homes, I started painting murals and finishes for my clients in the GTA. In 2006, encouraged by a fellow artist, I began putting my ideas on canvas. By 2011, I had decided that art would to be my sole career. From my home-based studio, I create my Surreal Life Studies paintings, where buildings are on the verge of toppling over, animals drive cars, and classic rides rule. I reside in Aurora, Ontario, Canada with my husband David, our dogs Lucky and Chester, and our parrot ‘Green Man’.
