I am a contemporary mixed media artist. In the majority of my work I use paper, found objects and paint. My inspiration often comes from my training as a fashion designer. I am always looking for “something with a little punch, that arouses curiosity or starts a conversation, like a guilty pleasure”.  Provocative items, like stiletto heels, strands of pearls, sexy undergarments, or sometimes the memory of a popular song become an idea for a painting. I am marrying fashion and art, using original vintage images, cut outs from modern fashion magazines and paint creating "collage paintings". All my work is handmade and I believe that investing time and emotion in making individual pieces is almost a nostalgic notion, that may be overlooked with the ever pressing technological advancement at our disposal.
