Imam Azhari was born in Indonesia. He moved to Canada in 2004, Still based in Toronto, Imam has been working at a hotel as his day job and occupied his time as full time painter, although his schedule fully busy but he believe being artist is his priority As modern and traditional artist, imam focus in Trompe L’oeil Art and he uses oil medium with a traditional and modern technique to create deep effects in his art works and his idea came from personal experiences combined with a historical viewpoint with symbolic object. Several competitions Imam attended included first place and best in show “The Richeson 75, 2009 and 2010 in USA also his panting hang in private collection in Canada and aboard included Madam Michaelle Jean Former Governor General of Canada.
