Margaret Glew
Margaret Glew lives and paints in Toronto. Using a personal language of form and gesture, she makes intuitive, layered abstracts that are metaphors for the emotional landscape we all inhabit. Glew has exhibited widely in both Canada and the United States. She is represented in Mississauga by Rumi Galleries, and in Kelowna, B.C., by SOPA Fine Arts. In 2013 she exhibited her collage work for the first time at Gallery 6PDX in Portland, Oregon. Her work is in a number of public and corporate collections, including the City of Toronto Archives, the City of Scarborough Art Collection, and the Richmond Hill Public Library collection. Recently, Glew, together with four other Toronto artists formed the 5-STAR Collective. After a successful inaugural show at AWOL Gallery in Toronto, the collective headed to NYC for the Fountain Art Fair in March of 2014.
