Rangoli- Floor Art made with Edible Grains
Explorations of natural Colours within my 'Edible Grain Rangoli': 'Rangoli', the floor Art, is an expression of colourful emotions that is so inherently Indian, and so for me, being a traditional Indian Rangoli Artist, is a magical experience in itself. Rangoli, to me is an artistic prayer which invites viewers to visually explore the powerful meaning of life – affirming theme of love, peace, eternity, nurturing, enhancing, enriching, healing and balancing. While faiths are many, the message is one – to love all. I have taken my artistic spirit and experience into a new genre of Rangoli art-making. Inspired by my journey of life, culture, traditions and heritage, I push boundaries between tradition and innovation with mix-media, recycled and reused materials, to create my own unique artistic techniques to not only to explore new ways to formulate colour, design, structure and texture, but to also to express story and poetry, my deep routed spirituality, as symbols of endurance and timeless journey - hence AshAditi's maxim – ‘Timeless Art’. The buzz behind my Rangoli artwork and meaningful message has been spreading in Canada, not only amongst Toronto’s art community, but also among the business community.
